Yes, that's correct. A 36-hour journey to get to Madrid. I kid you not.
I single-handedly vacuum-packed all my clothes today (using ZipLoc storage bags and my butt to sit on the bag and squeeze the air out... surprisingly effective), which left me with twice as much space in my duffel bag. YES! In the small rolly I'm checking in there is: all my toiletries, a Longchamp tote bag, and high heels. Everything else is sitting in ziploc'd bags with my name and address on them in my duffel/carry-on. Must admit I'm very impressed with myself.
Pray that my luggage makes it to Madrid with me. PLEASE.
